JET CLEAN - How To Paint or Seal My Driveway

How can I paint my driveway? Painting a driveway is a project that starts with thorough preparation. Begin by thoroughly pressure washing the surface at 4000PSI to remove all dirt, oil, grease, and debris, then allow it to dry completely for at least 2 full days of sunshine. Use a leaf blower to remove any remaining debris. Tape off anything that could be accidentally painted, or splattered especially if using a colour.
TIP! If you don't have much experience and don't want to pay for leftover paint and equipment, get someone like us to quote on the job for you!

When you're ready to paint, choose a high-quality product that is designed for driveways. Choose from a range of colours, or perhaps clear looks good on pavers? Stir the paint well and first of all do all the edges with a big fence brush. Then do the remainder using a long-handled roller for flat areas. Work in sections from the far end toward the exit so you don't paint yourself into a corner. Apply at least two coats, allowing the recommended drying time between each, typically a day for each coat. Avoid driving on the surface for the time recommended on the paint tin, typically a week.
TIP! Do not over dilute the product! Note that the correct solvent can cost more than the actual paint! We see this mistake again and again where DIYers think they will save money by thinning out the product with turps. The end result has dribbles everywhere and just looks cheap. Get Jet Clean to do the job properly the first time!
